Ed Jones knows what delivers real return on investment - actions on the part of prospects that lead directly to the order. Or, in the case of your employees, behavioral changes that improve business results. He knows how to elicit that behavior and how to measure it.

Jones has nearly thirty years experience crafting prospect, customer and employee communications programs that lead improve the bottom line of business. His approach has turned many large corporate communications programs inside out, with dramatic results. Ed is equal parts finance, marketing, sales and creative.

Ed applied his financial background to sales and marketing by developing the “Financially Justified Selling” curriculum while at AT&T and introducing the concept of the “Payback Ratio” for event marketing effectiveness for major brand and event marketing firms.

Jones authored several communication project planning and execution models used by the world’s largest communications agencies and by major companies such as Coca-Cola, AMD, Owens Corning, and many others. He introduced a behavioral model for understanding buyer readiness and programs for motivating prospects through marketing communications and events. He authored and teaches the core curriculum program on "How to Measure the Value of Trade Shows" in the Exhibitor Certified Trade Show Manager Program.

Ed developed sophisticated research techniques that align prospects, customers and internal clients with matching messages and value. Research techniques include analyzing all types of communications projects and events. His team is often called upon to diagnose and prescribe remedies for the largest events for event intensive companies like Gartner Group.

Ed also provides tools for choosing the best mix of events and communication techniques, including the Web, to get the message across in a pervasive and persuasive manner - a manner that leads to action.

In an effort to stay abreast of new developments, Ed serves on the advisory boards of The Center for Information and Communication Sciences at Ball State University and the International Digital Media and Art Association.
